Chachapoyas
The city of Chachapoyas is located in the Peruvian jungle. It is the capital of the department of Amazonas and the starting point for visiting important archaeological sites belonging to the Chachapoyas culture, among which the Kuelap Fortress stands out.
Among the natural attractions are the Gocta waterfall and the Sonche Canyon. It also highlights the Leymebamba Museum where more than 200 mummies found in the tombs of the Laguna de Los Cóndores are exhibited.
