Chiclayo

Located in the north of Peru, the city of Chiclayo is the capital of the department of Lambayeque and known as the “Capital of Friendship” because of the warmth of its people.

The Mochica culture developed in this area, which excelled in ceramics and goldsmithing, the most important discovery being the Tomb of the Lord of Sipan is the archaeological site of Huaca Rajada, and whose treasures are exhibited in the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum.

Climate: Dry, moderate heat throughout the year, intense heat from December to April.
