Sacred valley

Very close to the imposing city of Cusco is the Sacred Valley, so-called because of its agricultural richness and favourable climate. The valley has beautiful landscapes made up of Andean communities and farmland, as well as its impressive archaeological remains, a sample of the prowess of Inca architecture and engineering.

Climate: Dry and temperate.

Temperature: Little temperature variation during the year. Nighttime temperatures range from 4°C to 8°C and daytime temperatures from 21°C to 23°C.

Moderate rainy season from December to March.

Altitude: 2,871 meters above sea level.
