Trujillo
Founded in 1535 by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro, Trujillo is the capital of the department of La Libertad, and the third most populated city in Peru.
Known as the City of Eternal Spring for its warm climate, Trujillo also holds the title of Capital of the Marinera, a colourful and joyful traditional Peruvian dance. The city is the starting point to discover the cultural, natural and archaeological richness of the region.
