Aria Amazon Cruise
Itinerary from June to October
Day 01: Lima / Iquitos / Nauta / Marañon River
Reception at Iquitos airport and transfer to Nauta.
Lunch or box lunch.
Departure by boat on the Marañon River. Boarding at 6:00 p.m. on the ARIA AMAZONAS cruise ship and installation in the comfortable suites.
Routine safety drill and presentation of the naturalist guides.
Dinner created by Executive Chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino.
Overnight on the cruise.
Day 02: Yanayacu Pucate River / Marañon River
Breakfast on board.
Navigation in modern skiffs along the Yanayacu Pucate River, near the main entrance of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Possibility to kayak, canoe and swim in these virgin black waters, without losing sight of the legendary pink dolphins of the Amazon.
Return to the cruise ship and lunch.
In the afternoon, visit a remote village along the Marañon River to learn about traditional customs. In the evening with the help of a high-tech telescope observation of planets and constellations.
Dinner on board.
Overnight on the cruise.
Day 03: Samiria River / Nauta Caño or PNA (Amazon Natural Park)
Breakfast on board.
Departure by small boat for an excursion on the Samiria River with optional fishing activity.
Return to the cruise ship and lunch.
In the afternoon, lecture on flora and fauna; then hike through the jungle of the upper Amazon jungle. On the way back and at nightfall, stargazing.
Dinner on board.
Overnight on the cruise.
Day 04: Nauta / Manatee Rescue Center / Airport
Early in the morning visit to the local market of fresh products in the company of a guide. Return to ARIA AMAZONAS for breakfast and packing.
Before leaving, visit the Manatee Rescue Center, a very special type of animal orphanage for the Amazonian manatees; then visit the San Juan Artisan Market on the way to the airport.
Lunch or box lunch, depending on the exact time of departure flight.
