Huaraz
Day 01: Lima / Caral / Huaraz
Early in the morning departure north to the city of Huaraz.
En-route visit to the Archaeological Complex of Caral (UNESCO – World Cultural Heritage), located 3 hours north of Lima. Caral is considered the oldest civilization in Peru and one of the oldest in the world that flourished between 3000 and 1800 BC, with an impressive level of religious, political and economic organization. At the site, you will see ceremonial and administrative buildings, residential and production areas.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
Continuation of the route to the city of Huaraz. Arrival and installation in the hotel.

Day 02: Huaraz
Breakfast at the hotel.
Excursion day to visit the Llanganuco Lagoons. Departure to the north of Huaraz through the Callejón de Huaylas, a narrow valley formed by the Cordilleras Negra and Blanca. En route, visit the typical villages of Carhuaz and Yungay.
Ascent to Huascaran National Park (UNESCO – World Natural Heritage) and arrival to Llanganuco where we will find the beautiful lagoons of turquoise green waters at the foot of the snowy Huascaran.
Free lunch.
On the way back, visit the towns of Caraz and Toracá.

Day 03: Huaraz
Breakfast at the hotel.
Day excursion to the east of Huaraz to visit Chavin. En-route visit to typical villages of the region and panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks of the surrounding mountains.
Crossing the mountain range through the Cawish Tunnel (480 m. long), and departure to the Callejón de Conchucos where Chavín de Huántar (UNESCO – World Cultural Heritage), an archaeological complex dating back to 1500 BC, was the administrative and religious centre of the Chavín culture. Visit the site museum and the complex made up of temples, plazas and passageways.
Free time for lunch.
Return to Huaraz.

Breakfast at the hotel.
At appropriate time return by road to Lima.
