This 10-day program allows you to get to know the Peruvian culture and gastronomy of three different natural regions: Lima in the coastal region, Cusco and the Sacred Valley located in the Andes, and Puno in the Sierra.

4-hour gastronomic tour in Lima. This walking tour will allow you to discover, through 14 Peruvian foods and drinks, the Historic Center of Lima, including the Central Market, which is the largest market in the capital. These are popular gastronomic options among Lima residents.

The visit is carried out with a professional guide who will make you discover the historic center.

In the morning, pick up from the hotel, and departure to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Departure to Yucay.

Transfer to the Museum of living culture of Yucay. The museum is a cultural venue that revalues ​​the culture of the surrounding communities; proposes a series of exhibitions and traditional activities of the towns of the Sacred Valley.

Offering Ritual to the Pachamama, this type of ceremonies has its origin in the pre-Inca, Inca cultures and continues to be practiced in a large part of the high Andean communities of our country.

The offering, also called payment to the land, is a symbolic gratitude ceremony, directed by an Inca Shaman or Priest who, through his gifts, prepares with great respect the offering made up of products such as: chicha, coca leaves, alpaca meat, llama, potatoes, oca and other agricultural products, which at the end of the ceremony are buried in the ground.

Transfer to Ollantaytambo and excursion with a visit to the Archaeological Park of Ollantaytambo, a beautiful Inca archaeological complex that fulfilled agricultural, religious and military functions. Return to the hotel in the city of Cusco.

Transfer from the hotel to the Ollantaytambo station to board the train (1h30 approx.) to the Aguas Calientes station. (Private transfer to the train station: transportation + transfer man). (Train journey with guide accompaniment).

Reception at the Aguas Calientes station, and ascent by non-private bus (25/30 min) to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu (UNESCO – World Cultural and Natural Heritage).

Visit to the citadel of Machu Picchu with a private guide considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.

During the walk there are several stops where you can appreciate the perfect harmony between the natural environment and the majestic Inca construction. After the visit, descent by non-private bus (25/30 min) to the town of Aguas Calientes.

The session lasts 2 hours, the content may vary between the following activities depending on the instructor and hotel where the activity takes place:

Return to the city of Cusco (1h30 journey)

Arrival and installation at the hotel.

Visit to the Pisco Museum to learn about the history, production and different varieties of Pisco, grape brandy, the result of the distillation of the fresh must passed through stills.

Then, workshop and preparation of Pisco Sour, a traditional Peruvian drink.

In the afternoon, tour to the Historic Center of Cusco (UNESCO – Cultural Heritage of Humanity). Visit of the Gothic-Renaissance style Cathedral (16th century) which has a large collection of works of religious art; walk through the typical streets of the city and visit the Koricancha, an Inca temple on which the Convent of Santo Domingo was built.

Finally visit the neighboring archaeological sites, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca – Pucara and Tambomachay.

Lunch at Pachapapa restaurant.

Restaurant specializes in Cusco cuisine, and offers traditional dishes that have been passed down from generation to generation. Located in an old house in the San Blas neighborhood, it has a wood-fired oven, located in the central patio where you can see the cooking of different dishes such as the traditional Cuy, Trout and breads.

Transfer to Puno in a tourist vehicle, located in the Peruvian Altiplano at an altitude of 4,800 m.

First stop at the Andahuaylillas Chapel, a church dating from the 17th century, known as the Sistine of the Andes, due to the beauty of its murals, gold leaf works and paintings from the Cusqueña School.

Then visit the archaeological complex of Raqchi known as the temple to God Wiracocha where you can see stone and adobe buildings, as well as granaries (1450 AD / 1532 AD).

Buffet lunch at a local restaurant.

Stop for photos at the La Raya pass, it is the highest point of the journey at 4335 meters above sea level, where the famous snow-capped Chimboya is located.

Finally, visit the Lithic Museum of Pukará, where you can find ceramics and sculptures representing zoomorphic figures (1600 BC / 400 AD).

Arrival to the city of Puno, transfer to the hotel.

Excursion to Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, located at 3,812 m above sea level.

Transfer to the pier in Puno and departure by boat to the island of Taquile  (2h30 of navigation), (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Arrival around noon. Opportunity to appreciate the textile and colorful art of the community. Walking on a white sand beach.

Continuation of the navigation towards the peninsula of Capachica and visit of the community of Santa María to learn about Pachamanca, an ancestral cooking technique. Then, visit the Bio Interpretation Center “Balsero del Titicaca”.

Typical Pachamanca lunch with the locals.

Finally, visit the floating islands of the Uros, artificially built with reeds (reeds), an opportunity to learn about the way of life of this community.

Return to Puno at the end of the afternoon.

At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport to take the flight to the city of Lima.

On the way, visit the site of Sillustani with its funerary tombs that can reach up to 12 meters in height. Discovery also of Lake Umayo which borders the site. Sillustani, belonged to the Kolla culture, between the 1200 and 1450 B.C,  has around 90 inverted cone shaped chullpas. According to history, before the corpses of the highest Kolla authorities were placed in the tombs, they were mummified in a fetal position.

Visit of the Larco Museum, which is located in a beautiful colonial mansion in Lima surrounded by gardens; you can appreciate a careful collection of ceramics, textiles and goldsmith pieces from the most representative cultures of Peru. The tour ends with a visit to one of the most complete collections of pre-Columbian erotic art.

At the appropriate time, transfer to the Jorge Chávez airport to take the international departure flight.
